Jay Slenker is in his twentieth year in the Rutland City Public Schools.  He has been a substitute teacher, Paraeducator, Special Educator, classroom teacher, Department Head and Assistant Principal.   He is currently in his third year as Principal of Rutland Intermediate School.  He is excited about his continuing work with elementary children and all the wonderful educators he interacts with every day.  In his spare time Jay coaches youth lacrosse and Nordic skiing.
