On November 14, 2023, the Rutland City Board of School Commissioners voted to endorse the Vermont Declaration of Inclusion. The Declaration of Inclusion is a Vermont-based grassroots effort to highlight the commitment of Vermont communities and institutions toward establishing a culture of belonging. By adopting the Declaration, the Rutland Board and our schools strive for the fair and equal treatment of everyone in our school community; we welcome all people; and we aim to ensure that every member of our schools feels safe and an integral part of the Rutland City School District.
