Eloise (Ellie) McGarry has worked as the District Director of Support Services since 1992. Her department oversees and coordinates services for students identified for services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Section 504, the Multi-Tiered System of Supports, and English as a Second Language. She oversees the district wide Medicaid Program and coordinates programs with community agencies to assist Rutland City students and their families. She served on the board of Rutland Mental Health Services for 12 years.  She served on the Vermont Council of Administrators Board for 20 years and the National Council of Special Education Administrators of Special Education for 7 years.  Ellie received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education from Bloomsburg University in 1980. She received her Master’s Degree in Special Education Degree from the University of Vermont in 1991 and her Certificate of Advanced Study in Intensive Special Education from the University of Vermont in 1992.
